Completed Programs & Projects
There are several projects within the South Australia Works in the Regions Program that have become a key foundation of the Program and are run consistently over successive financial years. Such programs include the Disability Placement Project, the Mature Age Training & Employment Project, the Youth Training & Employment Project, the Volunteer Step Project, and more recently the Indigenous Training and Employment Project and the Adelaide Hills Career Development Centre Project.
In past years complementing these key projects have been targeted strategic or industry-relevant training projects. As of 2008-09 these many of these initiatives will be conducted under the auspices of the Adelaide Hills Career Development Project. Past projects and initiatives are listed below:

2006-2007
Mining Training Project

| Project Description: |
The Mining Training Project provided training in Certificate I in Resource Industry & Operations as well as other relevant elective subjects and field trips. A number of participants then went on to gain emploment in the mining sector or study higher qualifications. |

Industry Partners - Wine Tourism Training Project

Project Description: |
Free training was provided to 40 under/un-employed people, from the Adelaide Hills Region and the City of Onkaparing,to assist with employment in the wine and tourism industries. The training drew upon nationally accredited units within the Certificate in Food Processing (wine) Levels 1 and 2 and included elective units in Wine Tourism, Responsible Service of Alcohol and Customer Service. |

Industry Partners - Horticulture Training Project

Free training was provided to 23 under/un-employed people from the Adelaide Hills Region to assist with employment in the horticulture industry. The training drew upon nationally accredited units within Certificate II in Horticulture as well as providing job searching skills, career support and assisting with work experience placement. |
