Investment Attraction Program

The Investment Attraction Program is designed to encourage investment and business growth in the Adelaide Hills region. The program is supported by the South Australian Government through a grant from the Regional Projects Fund administered by the Department of Trade and Economic Development. The key components of the Investment Attraction Program are:

  1. The establishment of a ‘go to’ site for potential investors, project developers and existing growth businesses located at Adelaide Hills Regional Development (AHRD)
  2. The researching, collecting, compiling and publishing of relevant data and information related to the region’s capability to attract investment
  3. The identification of key stakeholders who have a part to play in attracting investment to the Adelaide Hills region
  4. The identification and promotion of specific investment opportunities in the Adelaide Hills region
  5. The identification of consortia building and supply chain opportunities linked to particular project opportunities across the region
  6. The design, development and delivery of key investment events that target investors / developers, financiers, brokers, businesses and the wider community
  7. The development and delivery of a communications opportunities to promote investment in the Adelaide Hills region

The deliverables of the Investment Attraction program are:

  1. Adelaide Hills Economic Perspective 2009; a regional profile including data and information on the region, trend data on key economic drivers, description of significant infrastructure and ‘opportunities’ list.
  2. Comprehensive stakeholders’ lists in the form of an investment contact data base.
  3. Dedicated ‘Investing in the Adelaide Hills’ region web-page on the AHRD website.
  4. A ‘go to’ site for potential investors / developers at AHRD where they can access useful information, contacts and referrals, and other relevant products and services.
  5. A business / opportunity matching process including links with other agencies (including government) with business / enterprise / industry development roles.
  6. An Investment Conference with a program aimed at presenting strategic opportunities to representatives of the investment / development / community and encouraging local supply chain development. 
  7. A business dinner and major awards night as part of the Conference.
