Mr. Peter Hogan 

Peter has 18 years' experience in the hospitality and tourism industry. He is degree qualified in communications and commercial law, and is also a Justice of the Peace.

Mr. Chris Howis

Business Coach, Chris J Howis Coaching Services

Chris Howis is a business coach and retail consultant. He consults widely throughout South Australia and interstate. Chris comes from a strong corporate retail background in the UK and South Africa and has also worked at a senior level for two of Australia's largest retailers. His last corporate position in the mid 1990's was Managing Director of South Australia's largest food manufacturer. Chris is currently board director and adviser to a number of private family businesses.

Mr Ian Bailey

Councilor, Adelaide Hills Council

Ian Bailey is the owner and operator of a large springwater business supplying all states within Australia. He has been a local government councillor for 13 years and serves on many government and voluntary organisations; he is heavily involved in the CFS. Ian has previously been a primary producer, plumber/gasfitter, refinery operator and worked in Arnhem land for 6 years. Ian believes in the social and economic future of the Adelaide Hills and to do his part to achieve this ideal.

 

 

Mrs Ann Ferguson

Mayor, District Council of Mount Barker

Ann Ferguson is the Mayor of the District Council of Mt. Barker and for the past 14 years has been the Director of the Police Credit Union. She has a passion for the hills region and looks forward to being a part of the decision making process through Council and the Adelaide Hills Regional Development Board.

 

Mr. Andrew Stratford

Councilor, Adelaide Hills Council

After 16 years of owning and operating a retail business, Andrew has taken 'temporary retirement' but still takes an active role in business and community groups whilst enjoying promoting the Adelaide hills whenever possible. Andrew has a passion for protecting the hills region, endeavouring to achieve the right balance of development, lifestyle and environmental issues.
 

Ms Susan Hamilton

Councilor, District Council of Mount Barker

Susan Hamilton’s strengths cover a broad range of areas from teaching, graphic design, public relations and food and wine promotions across the state. As Councilor on the Mount Barker District Council Susan’s areas of interest include community and cultural development, as well as tourism and economic development. Community arts and culture feature strongly in Susan’s concerns and as a past ministerial appointee to the Country Arts Board, Susan has had a significant input into the promotion of cultural arts to the broader community. Youth, Sports and employment are of special interest and as a consequence Susan is currently a member of the governing bodies of Mount Barker and Heathfield High Schools, and also the Mount Barker Vocational College.

Mr. Joe Williams

Community / Industry

Joe's career spans teaching, the printing industry, managing a law firm and a publishing firm, operating a management consultancy and senior positions in delivering business services via government bodies. For the past five years he has continued his consulting work and lectured in business subjects and leadership at Flinders University. Joe has lived in the Adelaide Hills since he moved from the UK in 1979.

 

Ms. Sally Cook
 


Community / Industry

Sally Cook's company owns a diverse primary production property of beef cattle, viticulture and cherries and has been involved in primary production for most of her life. Sally has considerable experience in public relations and marketing both in Australia and in Hong Kong. Her work in Hong Kong was to help set up the first independent Hospice Care Centre and then to market Australia for the Federal Government. She has been involved with numerous community groups in both places. Currently Sally is a member of the board of Windmill Performing Arts for Children and director of private companies.

Mr. Ian Robertson

Community / Industry

Ian Robertson as our most recent Board Member, has lived in Lobethal since 1991. Whilst in the Hills he has been the Chair of the Lobethal Main Street Project, a Committee Member of the Lobethal Commerce Group and a member of the Woodside Commerce Association and the Lobethal Town Development Group. Since 1991, he and his wife Lu have owned and operated a very successful Supermarket business and more latterly a Chauffeur Drive Tour and Taxi Business. Since 2002  he and Lu have been operating a regular public transport bus service in the Adelaide Hills called Affordable Coachlines which operates from Mt Pleasant and Mt Torrens to Tea Tree Plaza, and have just renewed a further 5 year contract with the Department of Transport until 2012. Prior to arriving in Lobethal he and Lu have been involved in a number of successful small business enterprises in Travel and Transport. He has spent many years as a lecturer in travel agency procedures and was the first tutor in taxi and chauffeur driving techniques for the Metropolitan Taxi Cab Board. He is passionately committed to improving and increasing bus services, tourism and better and safer roads throughout the Adelaide Hills.

Mr. Doug Adamson

Investment Manager/Business coach

Doug returned to the hills in 2002, having built businesses in Australia, the UK and Europe in media and technology over the previous 20 years. Doug currently works as a business coach for a number of expanding businesses, and also as an investment manager for Playford Capital, an early stage technology investment fund. Doug is a member of the Institute of Company Directors, and sits on the Boards of the Association of Independent Schools SA, and the Hills Montessori School in Aldgate.
