Our Aim & Partnerships

The Adelaide Hills Career Development Centre (AH CDC) aims to support people to develop the skills to confidently take control of their career decisions. 

The service is a partnership between Adelaide Hills Regional Development and the SA Government, through the South Australia Works in the regions program.

 

 

Our Services

The AH CDC offers the following services (either individually or through groups): 

  • Identification of strengths, interests and potential career pathways.  
  • Connection to training opportunities and, in appropriate circumstances, funding of training. 
  • Assistance with understanding the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process (ie using your life and work experiences to short-cut the training process and gain qualifications quicker). 
  • Production of resumes, job applications and responses to job & person specifications for eligible people.
  • Provision of information about local industries and the local job market.
  • Engagement with industry to determine training and workforce development priorities.

Who do we provide a free service to?

The AH CDC offers a free service to people who are:

  • Unemployed and under-employed
  • Young people who have left school
  • Mature aged people 
  • People with a disability
  • Indigenous people
  • Parents and carers returning to the workforce
  • Migrants 

Appointment Times

Appointments are available:

  • Mondays, Tuesdays & Friday, 9.00am-3.00pm, Adelaide Hills Region Development Offices at 38 Adelaide Road, Mount Barker
  • Thursdays, 9.00am-3.00pm, The Hut Community Centre at Euston Road, Aldgate
